Most US kids pay for music downloads over Ares filesharing. A recent study showed that 49% of children 9 to 14 years of age used paid services to download their music wants. Most people who see this think that once these children become young adults they will see the benefit of filesharing more clearly as they will be wanting gas money and food money and paying for music will become obsolete for them. The fact that at 9 and 10 years old you aren’t really thinking about where you get your music from—your mom and dad are paying for it anyway, so why not pay for it!
Paying Over Free Filesharing
Most US kids pay for music downloads over filesharing with using companies like Limewire and Ares Vista. This seems very odd being as there are so many companies out there that allow you to download music, music videos, DVD quality movies, and more form them for free. Many parents aren’t even aware of their children’s download choices—-they just give them gift cards and let them choose. Though most of the buying of music and music videos is done by a younger sect of children it is still a common practice amongst teenagers. The fact that you can get free downloads and yet you pay is an odd thought.
